Dr Jason Ward

Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Jason Ward is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon who brings extensive experience and surgical knowledge to his practice. He utilises the latest technologies including robotic surgery and patient-matched implants.  His practice focus is on minimally invasive surgeries, including knee, anterior hip replacement, shoulder, and ankle surgery. Dr Ward's practice locations are across Adelaide and South Australia, and he prides himself on providing up-to-the-minute surgical techniques to maximise positive outcomes for his patients.

After graduating from Flinders University in 1996, Dr Ward obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005. He then completed post fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroplasty, which supported sub-specialisations in all facets of knee, hip, shoulder and ankle surgery.

He maintains his expertise through continued professional development and education, including international specialist visits. He has undertaken further education and training in anterior hip replacement; an approach which can reduce recovery time for patients.  Dr Ward has also adopted the latest technology for knee replacements. He has expertise in robotic surgery and also offers the innovative technique of individually patient-matched knee replacement.

Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his family. He is also a collector of fine wines and enjoys actively competing in keelboat racing at a national level.
