At Burnside Hospital, we are proud to work with world-leading experts across a range of medical specialties. Our state-of-the-art facilities, advanced medical technology and innovative, holistic approach to care makes us the hospital of choice for many specialists and doctors.

Burnside Hospital, a private not-for-profit community hospital, has 76 beds, five operating theatres and a range of services and clinics to care for and support the thousands of patients who choose to have their healthcare needs met here each year. 

We have over 350 staff, and approximately 100 Visiting Medical Officers participating in a wide variety of specialties at the hospital.

All doctors who practice at Burnside Hospital are required to undertake a formal accreditation process in accordance with the provisions of the Burnside War Memorial Hospital Inc Accredited Practitioner By-Laws. All medical professionals should review the By-Laws prior to applying to practice at Burnside Hospital and will commit to the provisions of the By-Laws as part of the application process.
