We offer all our maternity patients a beautiful gift of photographic memories. In partnership with one of Adelaide’s leading family portrait studios, Kate & Co., we are delighted to provide you with a newborn, baby, child, and family photo session, along with an 8x10” matted art print - our gift to you to say thank you for choosing Burnside Hospital.

This exclusive gift, valued at $285, is available only to Burnside Hospital families.

Your voucher will be sent to you along with your maternity service welcome pack. Kate & Co. recommends that newborns be photographed at around 2 weeks old, so it’s best to schedule your photography session while you are still expecting. 
You and your family are also warmly invited to be part of our 'Born at Burnside' photographic exhibition. In collaboration with Kate & Co., this exhibition celebrates the tiny humans we have welcomed into the world at Burnside Hospital and showcases the wonderful families in our community.

Participation in the exhibition is entirely voluntary and separate from the photographic experience and complimentary 8x10" print offer. If you choose to be part of the exhibition, your  photograph will be displayed in the Burnside Hospital Maternity Ward, and it will be gifted to you as a thank-you after a 6-12 month period.

How can I claim my complimentary photographic session?

Your exclusive gift and code will be sent to you with your maternity service welcome pack, when booking into the hospital.

Kate & Co.  recommend that newborns be photographed around two weeks of age. To ensure you get the best timing, we suggest booking your session while you are still pregnant. All they need to secure your session is your due date and voucher details.

What is the ​‘Born at Burnside’ exhibition? 

In collaboration with Kate & Co. we proudly present the 'Born at Burnside' exhibition—a rolling gallery that celebrates the beautiful newborn babies welcomed into our community.

As a Burnside Hospital maternity patient, you are gifted a complimentary portrait session at the Kate & Co. studio, which includes an 8×10” matted art print of your choice. This special gift, valued at $285, is exclusive to Burnside Hospital families.

In addition to the portrait session, you are invited to participate in the 'Born at Burnside' exhibition. The exhibition is updated every 3-6 months, featuring beautiful images of newborn babies along with their first name and birth date details. The images are selected in collaboration with Kate & Co., professionally printed, framed, and displayed throughout the Burnside Hospital maternity unit.

If your baby and family are chosen to be part of the exhibition you will receive the framed print as a token of our appreciation. The images remain on display for up to 12 months or longer.

Participation in the exhibition is entirely voluntary and is not required in order to enjoy the photographic session and 8×10” matted art print offer from Burnside Hospital.

What is included in the session?

Your complimentary gift includes a newborn photography session at the Kate & Co. studio, located in Edwardstown, SA.

Valued at $285, your session includes:

  • A Portrait Preparation Guide and Questionnaire to ensure you get the most out of your experience
  • The photographer’s time and expertise, with a session lasting approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on the session type
  • Full access to the studio wardrobe for styling your session
  • A selection of 40+ images to choose from, based on the session type
  • An in-studio Design and Ordering Appointment to help you select your favourite images
  • One 8×10″ matted art print of your choice, valued at $195

Please note: the session fee does not cover digital files or additional products.
