Important Information for Your Procedure
To make your experience as smooth as possible, please take note of the following information:
- eAdmission: For your convenience, we encourage you to complete your admission form online by clicking [here]. This is the quickest and most efficient way to submit your details before your procedure.
- Preadmission Phone Call: You may receive a phone call from the hospital 1-2 days prior to your scheduled procedure. This call is important to confirm your procedure details and answer any last-minute questions.
- Accompaniment Required: If you are having a same-day procedure, it is vital that a responsible adult accompanies you home and stays with you for the first 24 hours following surgery. If you do not have someone to assist you, we will need to reschedule your procedure to ensure your safety post-operation.
- Post-Surgery Safety: After your procedure, it is crucial that you refrain from alcohol consumption, driving, operating machinery, or using public transport for the next 24 hours, even if you feel well. The effects of sedation or anaesthesia can impair your ability to safely perform these activities, and we want to ensure you are completely safe during your recovery.
- Recovery at Home: One of the benefits of day surgery is the ability to recover in the comfort of your own home. However, please be sure to follow all post-operative care instructions provided by your surgeon to ensure the best outcome.
