Dr Conrad Stranz

General Surgeon

Conrad is a specialist oesophago‑gastric and general surgeon who graduated from medical school at the University of Adelaide. 

Conrad completed advanced surgical training in general surgery in South Australia, with a year at Frimley Park Hospital in the UK, being awarded FRACS in 2017.

In 2017 Conrad worked as a consultant surgeon in private practice and rurally around Australia before gaining further experience in acute surgery in the UK for 6 months, mainly based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. In 2018 and 2019 Conrad completed ANZGOSA Post Fellowship Training in Upper GI Surgery at Christchurch Hospital, New Zealand and Fiona Stanley Hospital, Western Australia.

Conrad is a consultant Upper GI Surgeon at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and has an interest in minimally invasive resections for oesophageal and gastric cancer. He has a particular interest in oesophagectomy with extended lymphadenectomy. Conrad also performs surgery for hiatus hernias, gastro-oesophageal reflux and achalasia, as well as gastroscopy, colonoscopy and most general surgical procedures
