Meet the Team ‑ Erin Jordan
Erin Jordan, Reception and Eligibility Manager, is one of our longstanding staff members, having worked at Burnside Hospital for 30+ years in a variety of roles.
What is involved in your current role at Burnside Hospital?
I assist my team to deliver a professional customer service to our patients and visitors, from admission to discharge.
What do you enjoy most about coming to work?
Working in team environments, engaging with our patients, visitors and all staff members. Also I do love a good laugh and enjoy the company of the people around me.
What have been the biggest changes since you started?
The growth of the Hospital. I used to call in to visit my mum after school when she worked in Maternity. At 17 years old I began working at Burnside Hospital as a catering attendant, surviving the rebuild of the catering centre to its current location. I have been here through many redevelopments of the Hospital which have changed the layout for the better, and our focus on patient experience is very important.
What there words would you use to describe your team?
Dedicated, conscientious and caring.
Burnside Hospital acknowledges the Kaurna people as the Traditional Owners of the land and waters on which we live and care for our community.
We recognise their Native Title Rights to Country, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
