Dr Zahi Khouri is a highly trained specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon (OMS) with degrees in both Medicine and Dentistry. He is registered with AHPRA as both a medical and a dental specialist.
Originally from New Zealand, Dr Khouri completed his dental degree at the University of Otago, NZ and his medical degree at the University of Adelaide. He then went on to complete advanced surgical training in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. He is a specialist fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr Khouri was a visiting Specialist Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Adelaide Dental Hospital. He now operates exclusively in private practice at Adelaide MaxFax.
His surgical expertise includes the full range of OMS with a special interest in wisdom teeth surgery, surgical dental extractions, dental implant placement, orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), oral pathology, including excisional biopsies of orofacial lesions.
