Dr Thu Kent

Paediatrician

MBBS, FRACP, MPH Dr Thu Kent studied Medicine at Adelaide University, graduating as a doctor in 2001.

After her intern year, she embarked on the paediatric training program. During her training, she worked mainly at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, with additional experience at the Lyell McEwin Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Alice Springs Hospital and various other community positions. She qualified as a paediatric consultant and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2012.

Dr Kent consults in private practice. Her work, currently, is primarily in the care of new babies, from birth onwards and often also their siblings. She sees them through infancy and childhood for developmental checks and for any health concerns that may arise. She enjoys the continuity of seeing families grow and develop, and the flexibility of private practice, as she juggles raising 3 young children of her own.

Dr Kent cares for newborns from 34 weeks gestation onwards.
