Dr Thomas Altree is a specialist physician in respiratory and sleep disorders. 

Dr Thomas Altree is a specialist physician in respiratory and sleep disorders. He sees patients at Breathe SA in North Adelaide. He is also a staff specialist at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and a Senior Research Fellow at Flinders University. 


In addition to specialist training, Dr Altree has a Fellowship in Sleep Medicine from the Woolcock Institute in Sydney, and a PhD from Flinders University, for which he was awarded the University's College of Medicine PhD Award. He was also awarded the New Investigator Award at the 2023 World Sleep Conference for this research, which focused on the changes to breathing during sleep in different respiratory conditions, including obstructive sleep apnea. 


At The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, he leads the respiratory clinical trials unit, where he and his team investigates cutting edge treatments for a variety of respiratory and sleep disorders.
