Dr Meaghan Hunt is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centred care for women at all stages of life.
Before pursing medicine, Dr Hunt worked as a Registered Nurse, an experience that continues to shape her approach to care. It has given her a grounded, holistic perspective and a deep appreciation for kindness, clear communication, and building trusted relationships with her patients.
Dr Hunt feels truly privileged to support women and their families through some of life's most significant and exciting moments. Her approach is collaborative and tailored, ensuring each patient feels informed, supported, and confident in their healthcare decisions.
Dr Hunt completed her specialist training across the major tertiary hospitals in Adelaide and currently holds a Staff Specialist position at Flinders Medical Centre. During her advanced training, she developed expertise in high-risk obstetrics, including the management of complex medical conditions in pregnancy and placenta accreta spectrum disorders. She offers birth care at both Flinders Medical Centre and Burnside Hospital, providing continuity and supporting women across both public and private settings.
Dr Hunt also enjoys all aspects of general gynaecology, caring for women with conditions such as endometriosis, menstrual disorders and pelvic organ prolapse, and has undertaken further training in abnormal cervical screening and vulval conditions.
Dr Hunt works in collaboration with three like-minded female colleagues, ensuring you are in safe hands throughout your pregnancy journey.
