Dr Magdalena (Magda) Halt is a general and surgical gynaecologist.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and NZ College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a Masters degree in Minimally Invasive Surgery. She completed her training in South Australia and Victoria and currently works as a staff specialist at the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals with private rooms in North Adelaide.
She is known for her approachability, friendly manner, comprehensive management and clear explanations of medical issues. Magda has a special interest in laparoscopic management of endometriosis, ovarian cysts and other pelvic pathology, conservative and surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and fibroids.
In collaboration with the professional theatre team support at Burnside Hospital, Magda implements Early Recovery After Surgery protocols to ensure the best outcome and a faster recovery for her surgical patients.
In her rooms, Dr Halt sees a wide range of gynaecological presentations including abnormal cervical screening tests, menstrual disorders, insertion of IUCDs, vulval disorders and management of menopause. She also provides continence assessment and care including urodynamics.
