Dr Dania Qatarneh (MA(Cantab), MBBChir, FRCOphth, FRANZCO) is a highly experienced Ophthalmic Surgeon, with particular expertise in treatment of cataracts and retinal diseases.
Dr Dania Qatarneh graduated with Honours from Cambridge University Medical School. She then completed her Ophthalmology registrar training at the renowned Moorfields’ Eye Hospital in London followed by two years of sub-specialist fellowship training in cataract surgery and retinal diseases at Moorfields’ and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospitals.
She has extensive surgical experience in management of routine and complex cataracts, retinal treatments including laser, intra-vitreal injections and implants for diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease and uveitis.
Prior to returning to Adelaide in 2016, she worked as a consultant at the Alfred Hospital and the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospitals in Melbourne. She has extensive research and clinical trial experience in managing retinal diseases and held the position of senior research fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia. She currently holds a position at Flinders Medical Centre as a consultant to the cataract and retina service and acts as a mentor and supervisor to South Australian ophthalmology trainees.
Dr Qatarneh practices privately at Adelaide Eye Surgeons. The clinic has grown to become one of the most established and recognised Ophthalmology practices in South Australia, with three convenient locations across Adelaide.
