At Burnside Hospital, we understand that visitors can make a significant contribution to a patient’s recovery, and we offer flexible visiting hours during the day.
Patients are encouraged to discuss their preferred visiting arrangements with family and friends and confirm these with their nurse or midwife on admission. If you are visiting a patient, treatment times and the need for rest are important considerations, so we ask that you check with the patient (and the ward nurse) before visiting.
Upon arrival, visitors should speak to a nurse or midwife at the ward station and observe signage on room doors.
The hospital is secured between the hours of 9pm and 6am each day, so visiting during these times must be negotiated with hospital staff and will be granted on a 'need-only' basis.
