Dr Xen Xenophou
Obstetrician/Gynaecologist
Dr Xen Xenophou is an experienced Adelaide trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides excellent personalised care.
He graduated from the University of Adelaide and trained in Adelaide and in England. He commenced private practice after becoming a fellow of the RANZCOG in 1996 - he has been delivering babies and providing gynaecology services at Burnside Hospital ever since.
Xen also cares for private patients at the Women and Children’s Hospital when needed. He has a Consultant position there where he enjoys teaching.
Obstetrics:
- Fertility assessments and pre-pregnancy advice and planning.
- Comprehensive antenatal care with ultrasound scans included at each visit.
- Caring for straightforward and managing complicated and high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
Gynaecology:
Medical and surgical management of gynaecological concerns including the use of Colposcopy for abnormal smears, Hysteroscopy and removal of uterine polyps and suitable fibroids with the Myosure device, Mirena, Endometrial ablation, Laparoscopy, Hysterectomy - abdominal and laparoscopically assisted and prolapse surgery.
