Dr Sally Reid

Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist

Dr Sally Reid is a Specialist Gynaecologist who strives to empower her patients with knowledge about their health. Sally is curious about people and enjoys engaging with her patients in shared decision making.

Sally grew up in Gawler and the Barossa and graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2003 on the Dean’s Merit List. She achieved her specialist qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2012 and was awarded a Master of Reproductive Medicine in 2014. Dr Reid is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide and enjoys teaching.

She has a public appointment heading the Reproductive Endocrinology service at the Royal Adelaide Hospital – which offers the only free Ovulation Induction programme in the state.

Special Interests:

  • Investigation and management of Subfertility and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
    Including IVF, if more simple treatments are not effective
  • Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain
    Including minimally invasive surgeries
  • Fertility Preservation
    Including urgent care for those with Cancer
  • Children’s and Adolescent Gynaecology
  • Abnormalities of Menstrual Bleeding and Cervical Screening
    Including Colposcopy
  • Hormone transitions/ conditions e.g. Menopause and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

When not practicing medicine, Sally’s other passions include spending time with her family and friends, music, chocolate and fostering animals.
