Dr Kati King

Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Adelaide, Dr King worked in Australia and Ireland for several years as a junior medical doctor before pursuing a career in women’s health. Kati achieved her fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) in 2020. Her training saw her focus on high risk obstetrics, with a continued interest in general gynaecology. Kati trained predominantly in Adelaide, but took the opportunity to work throughout Australia in rural and urban settings for several years to gain exposure and insight into differing patient demographics, disease presentations, as well as differing health care systems.

Kati’s passion for caring for women during pregnancy, as well as offering gynaecology services, saw her begin offering private practice care. She works at some of Adelaide’s leading obstetric and gynaecology hospitals including Burnside Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She also provides gynaecological services at North Eastern Community Hospital. Kati also has a strong commitment to teaching and public health and holds a staff specialist position at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Dr King currently works as a staff specialist at Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide, as well as practicing as a private obstetrician and gynaecologist. Dr King has presented at several scientific meetings over the years and focused her research in Domperidone use for breastfeeding. Dr King currently teaches medical students at the University of Adelaide and is a visiting educator at the University of South Australia in allied health. She is also actively engaged with education of junior doctors and RANZCOG trainees.
