While volunteers undertake a variety of roles throughout the hospital, they all share the overarching goal of supporting our patients, staff and visitors.
Shifts from Monday to Friday run between 8am to 4pm. Some Saturday shifts are available.
Volunteers help out in a number of areas at the hospital, including:
Patient services
Welcome patients and visitors entering the hospital
Escort patients to their appointment or ward
Deliver flowers to patients on the wards
Provide assistance to patients on the ward
Administration assistance
Preparing patient packs
Assist with mail outs
Filing and photocopying
Support of marketing and fundraising initiatives
Cafe Otto
Assist with the preparation of coffee and snacks
Serve customers
