Robotic-assisted orthopaedic surgery - Patient Information Sessions

30 May 2019

Burnside Hospital welcomes you to our patient information sessions on the option of robotic-assisted orthopaedic surgery.

Could a robotic-assisted hip or knee replacement be right for you?

Burnside Hospital acquired the state-of-the-art MAKOplasty® Robotic Assisted Joint Replacement in November 2015 and our three accredited surgeons have since then conducted over 700 procedures, making our hospital and clinical team the most experienced with this MAKO robot in SA private hospitals.

Two additional surgeons were accredited in 2018 to undertake robotic procedures at Burnside Hospital, increasing the capacity of the robotic program at Burnside.

This proven and leading technology has been used throughout the world over the past 12 years and complements our hospital’s range of orthopaedic surgery treatment options.

Patient Information Sessions:

Patient information sessions hosted by the CEO will be held at Burnside Hospital throughout 2019. Come along to learn more about this treatment option from accredited surgeons who are using this technology. Also in attendance will be a physiotherapist and a registered nurse from the hospital.
