Annual Melbourne Cup Lunch – at the Robin Hood Hotel, Norwood
The annual Melbourne Cup Lunch benefitting the Burnside Hospital Foundation has built a reputation as one of the must-do events for fun-loving people in our area! So much so, that many people now make regular annual bookings for this event.
There is always a great atmosphere at our Melbourne Cup Lunch event, with a live bookmaker on site, race viewing on big screens, and cup sweeps. It’s normally a packed house, with guests dressed in fabulous hats and fascinators, and great race day fashion outfits. We award prizes each year for the Best Dressed Man and Best Dressed Woman, Best Hat, and Best Fascinator. The raffle is always popular, with a range of great prizes to be won, and free spot prize quizzes throughout the event that really add to the fun.
Since beginning the Melbourne Cup Lunch event in 2007, in conjunction with the Binns family who own the Robin Hood Hotel, we have raised just over $50,000 for our hospital!
