HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE SURVEY

The results are in for the annual Medibank Private Members Hospital Experience Survey for the Period October 2010 to September 2011. After the pleasing outcome of the survey of the previous year, whereby Burnside Hospital topped the State in achieving the State Gold Award & the National Bronze Award with a Member Experience Index of 79 it is satisfying to learn that we have maintained our index of 79 achieving significantly higher results than the all other hospital category average index of 71.
When asked whether they would recommend Burnside Hospital to their family and friends, 91% of patients said they would, compared to the category average of 88%.
Medibank Private have not publicised the best achiever hospitals as yet.
The following is a summary of the relative strengths and weaknesses of our Hospital as determined by survey participants and are the areas in which we achieved significantly higher results than the category average.
